Jakso 1. 131 men, 21 days, only 26 will make it. For the first time in 25 years the Australian SAS lift the veil of secrecy on what it takes to pass the toughest military selection course in the world. Over three weeks the candidates face constant sleep deprivation, brutal physical exercise and constant questioning; all designed to break down the body and mind. For many, the mind games and physical demands are too much and quickly the number whittles down to a half. The last men standing then face a massive 150km mountain hike carrying 50kg packs and a fictitious civil war where they must obey orders from Guerrilla leaders and go without sleep or food for five days. Their lives become sheer physical and mental hell. Candidates fall like flies. On the last day only a handful have made it, yet their SAS careers are not guaranteed. The remaining few now face eighteen months training before they have the right to join the elite ranks of the Australian Special Air Service Regiment.

Jakso 5. Joskus ei ole vaihtoehtoja. Kun vastassa on fanaattisia terroristeja tai leppymätön vihollinen, ainoa ratkaisu on joskus väkivalta väkivaltaa vastaan ja kuolema kaaoksen aiheuttajille. Tällaisessa tilanteessa paikalle kutsutaan erikoisjoukot. Jotkut niistä ovat maailmankuuluja, kuten SAS ja Navy Seals, ja toiset taas pysyttelevät pikemminkin varjoissa Intian Black Catsin ja Venäjän Alfa Groupin tavoin. Toiminta on kuitenkin äärimmäisen riskialtista – jos erikoisjoukkojen operaatio epäonnistuu, tuloksena voi olla monta viatonta uhria ja merkittäviä poliittisia seurauksia. Tässä sarjassa valotetaan tappo-operaatioihin osallistuvien eliittijoukkojen työtä ja kuullaan sisäpiirin tarinoita lähihistorian dramaattisista sotilasoperaatioista. Hyökkäyssuunnitelmat ja niiden tekniset yksityiskohdat kuvataan pyrotekniikan ja tietokonegrafiikan avulla. Toiminnalliset dokumentit käsittelevät muun muassa Moskovan teatterin kaappausta, taistelua Taj Mahal Palacen terroristeja vastaan Mumbaissa ja tietenkin Bin Ladenin tappo-operaatiota – tätä sarjaa ei kannata ohittaa.
