Hope For Wildlife
Jakso 13, kausi 1. Mother Nature can be cruel enough - and when man and nature collide, wildlife is usually the loser. This series follows the amazing work of Hope For Wildlife Society, which looks after injured and orphaned wildlife in the Canadian wilderness - rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing thousands of animals each year. The founder of the Society, Hope Swinimer, her staff and volunteers want to right what’s gone wrong in the wild. They’re overworked, under-funded and up to their eyeballs in baby raccoons injured raptors and orphaned deer. As winter thaws, orphaned baby animals begin trickling into the rehab. By spring, it’s filled to capacity. And the rehab is fighting for survival, too. Hope scrambles to raise money as government support dwindles. In the face of it all, Hope is driven by her compassion and belief that every animal matters. An injured pigeon receives the same care as a wounded bald eagle. Not every animal can be saved. Tough choices must be made. There isn’t always a happy ending, but there is always Hope. Ohjelma sopii kaikenikäisille.

Whitechapel
Jakso 3, kausi 1. The streets of Whitechapel are awash with blood. A murderer stalks the night, picking off vulnerable women and leaving them brutally butchered. The locals live in fear and the police remain clueless - with no motive, no evidence and no hope of catching this barbaric killer. But this is not the 19th Century and the time of Jack the Ripper. This is now. Assigned to the case is fast-tracked DI Chandler - a novice in the business of murder, an expert in the politics of policing and three day courses. His fellow officers, however, are anything but. Chief among them is DS Miles, the archetypal cynical, seen-it-all detective. Tipped-off by 'Ripperologist' Edward Buchan, Chandler realises that this modern day killer is copying the infamous Whitechapel murders, down to the very last detail. Can Chandler do what his fellow officers failed to do over 100 years before, and catch the person responsible? Cinematic and stylish, with a distinctive gothic edge and gallows wit, Whitechapel is a far cry from most police procedural dramas. Prepare for ambitious storylines, memorable, realistic characters and enough scares to keep the blood racing. Pääosissa: Rupert Penry-Jones, Phil Davis, Steve Pemberton.

The Whistleblowers
Jakso 1, kausi 1. When public injury lawyer Ben Graham’s latest client commits suicide despite winning a hefty compensation, his conscience kicks into action. What use is defending people hurt in the name of profit, if those responsible will never admit to it or change their ways? In a bid for genuine justice he sets up shop with his girlfriend and colleague, Alisha Cole, and together they embark on a new career: assisting the most unlikely of heroes to take huge personal risks, and speak out in a world of profiteering and corruption, political and corporate mismanagement, negligence and greed. Each case is a moral minefield. For bravery is one thing, but having the wisdom to choose the right path – and the strength of character to keep to it – is the hardest part of all. As they rub up against rogue elements in business and government, Ben and Alisha find that integrity comes at a heavy cost. From pharmaceutical fraudulence to immigration issues, bribery in the education system to environmental hazards, the storylines are as slick and polished as the production values in this high-speed, high-stakes ethical thriller. Would you have the courage to tell the truth, no matter what the consequences?
